Bhaktapur-Nagarkot Scenic Highway Upgrade

The Bhaktapur-Nagarkot Highway is a vital tourism and transport route connecting the Kathmandu Valley to the scenic hill station of Nagarkot. KAJI Construction was awarded the comprehensive rehabilitation, widening, and climate-resilient slope protection contract.

Key challenges included extreme elevation gradients, monsoon landslide risks, and maintaining continuous traffic access for local residents. Our engineering team designed deep reinforced concrete retaining walls, anchored wire-mesh rockfall barriers, and a multi-layer asphalt concrete pavement system capable of withstanding heavy tourist coach axle loads.
